Herman Miller began the first of many projects with KSP to update its image and increase its position as an industry leader. We started at their flagship showroom in the Chicago Merchandise Mart, then expanded to six other cities, including Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New York, to integrate the experience.
A showroom envelope that remained intact for over 25 years, especially one that continued to support an industry innovator's leading-edge spatial needs, is unheard of — but for Herman Miller, that’s exactly what we did.
Following Charles and Ray Eames' example, the design team selected simple materials, exploring their potential through testing and craft.
The exhibit wall, a 200-foot series of faceted glass panels, form a dynamic crystalline screen, creating layers of space, light, and reflection — with flexibility and openness.
