1996 AIA Chicago Chapter Honor Award
For decades, The Arts Club of Chicago was a symbol of classic Modern Art and Architecture in Chicago, presenting the only interiors space designed by Mies van der Rohe.
In the mid-90s, the Club had to reconsider its position in the Chicago cultural scene and decided to move locations — initiating a design competition to create a club for the 21st Century.
