Learn more about Laura

Senior Associate Principal Laura Jiménez AIA, LEED AP, CPAU, co-edited the newly released Density and Resiliency Across the Americas, a monograph published by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). The monograph brings together urban research and case studies from across North, Central, and South America, spotlighting how cities are responding to overlapping challenges of rapid urbanization, climate change, and socio-economic fragility.

Laura’s editorial leadership shaped the publication’s multidisciplinary scope, cutting across geographically diverse perspectives and localized strategies for resilient density and inclusive urban transformation. Featuring papers on projects in Porto Alegre, São Paulo, Los Angeles, and Toronto, the monograph sets the stage for continued dialogue at this fall’s CTBUH 2025 International Conference in Toronto.

Density and Resiliency Across the Americas is available in CTBUH’s Web Shop.

“Editing this monograph was less about curating a unified vision and more about assembling a set of tensions, strategies, and provocations that reflect the complexity of urban resilience across the Americas.”
