Green Building & Design recently featured our studio's transformation of International Square in, Krueck Sexton Partners Transformed International Square into a Vibrant Gathering Place.
International Square is a comprehensive workplace intervention in the heart of Washington, DC. Located within a three-tower, 1.1 million-square-foot office complex from the 1980s, the project reimagines a previously enclosed and underutilized atrium as a vibrant indoor-outdoor plaza.
The redesign introduces a 20-foot-wide retractable glass façade and a series of skylights that flood the space with daylight, improved ventilation, and a seamless connection to the adjacent streetscape.
