2015 Built Environment Symposium

Mark Sexton will be speaking on Saturday, October 10 at 1:45 at the University Club about the design of the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership which was completed in 2007, drawing on prior experience renovating Mies van der Rohe’s Crown Hall for the School of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology, completed in 1956. The lessons learned from disassembling and reassembling an icon of modern architecture were expanded upon fifty years later by another generation of architectural innovators.
