Matt approaches design with empathy and a commitment to excellence, believing that good design honors and uplifts human dignity. His perspective is shaped by his experience in design and construction within communities across Africa, as well as his exposure to the world of design in vibrant cities like Cape Town, Nairobi, and Chicago.

Matt received a Master of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Uganda Martyrs University. Outside of his professional pursuits, Matt serves as a board member for Congo Initiative, contributing to the organization’s mission of education, sustainability, and grassroots initiatives for peace and justice in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Previously, Matt dedicated six years to Engineering Ministries International (EMI) and served as a board member, providing design and construction management services to communities in developing countries. He enjoys hiking and remains committed to community-based initiatives and cross-cultural experiences both, locally and in his home country of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
