A Decade of Impact: Grogan | Dove Honored with CTBUH 10 Year Award of Excellence
CTBUH 10 Year Award of Excellence Winners
Krueck Sexton Partners is proud to announce that the Grogan | Dove FBI Federal Building has been named a 2025 Award of Excellence Winner by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), receiving for the prestigious 10 Year Award. We will present the project in October at the CTBUH conference in Toronto, where it will complete for top honors as Overall Category Winner.
Completed in 2015, the Grogan | Dove FBI Federal Building remains a benchmark for sustainable federal design. Strategically located on a secure 11-acre site in Miramar, Florida, the project has re-established the native Everglades ecosystem, utilizing it as a security feature, a respite from the surrounding hardscape focused developments, and as a central green infrastructure amenity.

Formal walkways reflect the angular qualities of the building façade
Our team realized a smooth transition from a naturalized high-performance landscape to formal pedestrian zones that reflect the angular qualities of the building façade. With its high-performance façade and integrated sunshades, the building has consistently reduced energy demand while offering openness and comfort. All weaving together security, resilience, and workplace wellbeing in a LEED Platinum Core and Shell + Sites Platinum certification.

Ten years on, Grogan | Dove FBI Federal Building continues to deliver— modeling the potential of civic architecture in a warming climate, supporting mission-driven operations, and employee wellbeing.
